Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Characters & Antagonist
Last verified: 2026-09-10 · Game version: Launch

The cast spans two timelines: Sophia's medieval plunderer crew and the Minoan-era myth figures from over two thousand years earlier. Here are the main characters (no major spoilers).
Medieval Timeline
Sophia (protagonist)
A young plunderer and ally of Amicia and Hugo from A Plague Tale: Requiem, this game tells her origin story. She comes to Minotaur Island chasing the lost treasure and cure her father sought before his death — his death drives everything she does. Voiced by Anna Demetriou. Full details on the Sophia page.
Leni
Sophia's companion, appearing heavily from Chapter 2 on: picking locks, lifting logs, working levers — the core puzzle-solving partner. Players rate her highly, with the early chapters' exploration vibe compared to "Tomb Raider." After the heist fails she flees to Venice with Sophia, then gets pulled into the island's ancient secret.
Faro
The companion in Chapters 10–11, who can be lifted onto ledges by Sophia for co-op puzzles. Many players call him "one of the series' best characters" — though the pacing of his corruption-to-redemption arc draws some "too fast" criticism.
Sergio
A plunderer crew member with a major story beat in Chapter 7 (a death cutscene).
The Order
A major medieval-timeline faction: Sophia was tormented by the Order in childhood (monastery-related), though the game doesn't dwell on it — a point of discussion among the fanbase.
Minoan Timeline (flashbacks)
Theseus
The legendary hero and slayer of the Minotaur. What resonates inside Sophia is his echo — some flashback segments let you control Theseus directly in large battles, but he has his own combat rhythm and Focus Attack, and Sophia's skill upgrades don't carry over. The game's re-interpretation of Theseus's gender became one of the biggest community topics at launch.
Daedalus
The greatest inventor of ancient Greece. Chapter 10 lets you explore Daedalus' Workshop — its puzzle and hidden tomb tie into the 5th pierced coin (the In The Name Of My Kin trophy).
Ariadne
A key Minoan-era figure with a mysterious "connection" to Sophia — the most-discussed plot point among players who've finished (the connection mechanism is never explicitly explained; community theories link it to the Macula-carrier bloodline inside Sophia).
Asterion
The original Macula carrier of the Minoan era. Setting detail: his Macula never manifested as rat swarms. For the series' core lore, see the prequel page.
The Creature
An "unkillable mystery" deep within the island, whose true identity is gradually revealed late in the story (heavy spoilers, see Ending Explained).
